Kevin Garnett

Chuck: The success of the Celtics starts with the healthiness of Kevin Garnett. Celtics enter the week at 16-4 and despite other injuries to big men Jermaine O'Neal and Kendrick Perkins, Garnett's ability to rebound has kept this team number one. Last year he played a whole season at about 70% with that knee. People thought he was just getting old. The Garnett effect is what changed the Celtics mentality. He is their glue, their emotion, and most importantly their defensive leader. Garnett is averaging 16 points a game and ten rebounds in about thirty minutes of play. Garnett averaged only seven boards I game last year compared to his 10.8 career average. With Garnett's strong play you could make a case for all five Celtic starters to make the all-star team. Rondo is a shoo-in, Pierce should get in Allen, continues to play well because of his ridiculous shape and the Big Aristotle, Daddy Shaq is averaging 11 and 7 in only twenty minutes a game.
